207 Crónicas Provinciales EMBLEMÁTICOS EDIFICIOS DOCENTES EN DON BENITO RESUMEN El estudio que hoy nos ocupa, trata de aquellos edificios que en fechas determinadas se alzaron en nuestra ciudad estableciéndose en ellos, las diversas disciplinas de la enseñanza que a través de las pautas, la idiosincrasia y el desvelo profesional de sus diversos Claustros, consiguieron que buena parte de sus educandos se abrieran paso más allá de nuestras fronteras autonómicas y en muchos casos las europeas. Alumnos que iniciándose en aquellos edificios emblemáticos docentes no solo engrandecieron a nuestra ciudad, sino a la misma nación tras demostrar sus habilidades, unas veces intelectuales, otras de orden profesional e industrial y en muchos casos de origen artístico, derroche de genialidades que fueron ensalzadas muy asiduamente por los diversos medios difusores. Fueron diversos los inmuebles que hubo en Don Benito que en tiempos pasados alcanzaron fama y popularidad en la región extremeña por la dedicación tan exclusiva a la que estaban destinados. A única excepción, todos los edificios docentes que aquí se mencionan han desaparecido arrastrando tras sí prestigiosos alumnos y bellos recuerdos que se han convertido en historia, pero sacudiendo los empolvados archivos con ese tesón característico que esgrimen algunos aficionados a la investigación, van aflorando ciertos retazos históricos que al publicarlos, se observa complacido el interés que el ciudadano va demostrando por aquellos acontecimientos históricos. ABSTRACT The study before us, is about those buildings which on specific dates rose in our city settled in them the various disciplines of teaching that, through patterns, idiosyncrasies and professional sleepless of its various Cloisters, got that many of its students made their way beyond our regional borders, and in many cases the Europeans ones. Students that in those landmarks teaching buildings not only magnified our city, but to the nation, after demonstrating their skills, sometimes intellectual ones, other times from a professional and industrial order, and often artistic ones; many geniuses that were assiduously exalted by various diffusers media. There were a lot of buildings in Don Benito which in the past achieved fame and popularity in the region of Extremadura for the exclusive dedication as they were intended. Apart from a single exception, all educational buildings mentioned here have disappeared dragging behind them large and beautiful memories that have become history, but shaking the dusty files with that characteristic tenacity wielding some research amateurs, certain historical snippets are surfacing, which being published, it is noted the interest that the citizen are demonstrating in those historical events.
